Sleep disturbance is common nowadays because of growing stress levels. One good way to sleep well is to drink a glass of warm milk fifteen minutes before going to bed. Milk contains high amounts of calcium which effectively works as a stress buster. Also, milk contains a compound called tryptophan, which is a known sleep inducer. A combination of calcium and tryptophan relaxes your stressed nerves. While other dairy products such as yoghurt and cheese are also high in these nutrients and promote sleep, they are less effective than warm milk. It is important to drink it warm because the warmth itself is a relaxant.
